This is the last Sunday of Advent. For the past three weeks we have lit the advent candles of hope, peace,joy and now love. It is love that brought the baby Jesus into our lives. The love of the Father for His people.

In the gospel we find Joseph being told of the conception of Mary. And though somewhat stunned, Joseph obeys the Holy Spirit and continues with his marriage to Mary. Thus becoming the earthly Father of Jesus.
What happens when we receive news which stuns us? Do we allow it to affect our faith? Whenever difficulties arise, we must continue to trust God. Both Mary and Joseph did!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on Sunday evening for Caroling to the nursing homes. We sang our hearts out and it was much appreciated by the residents. We were blessed to be so well received. A big thank you to Lee who set up the meal we ate when we returned to the church.

There are still vacancies on the vestry. If you are interested in being on the vestry, please make an appointment to meet with Mother Michelle to discuss your participation in the vestry.
The God at Work Capital Campaign will continue as there is so much to be repaired on the buildings.
The Advent Series - The Case for Christmas finishes today.
This is the last Sunday to sign up for poinsettias. Poinsettias can be given in memory of a loved one or in thanksgiving for someone or something. Please fill out the sheet at the back of the church. Cost for each poinsettia is $10.00.
