Below you will find the story behind "How Great Thou Art." It is interesting to hear it took several authors over several years to come up with this powerful hymn. This famous hymn has been a source of comfort at many funerals. It has led many to faith; allowing them to appreciate the price Jesus paid for our sins.
The video is 15 minutes long. Set aside the time to take it all in. When I hear this hymn I am in awe of the sovereignty and magnificence of Our God and His Son Jesus Christ. I am also keenly aware of the love and joy of the Lord.

And when I think of God, His Son not sparing
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in
That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing
He bled and died to take away my sin
Nothing can separate us from the love of Jesus.
