Dear Christ Church and Family,

We are experiencing our usual afternoon storms; but we may also be dealing with our own inner storms. In checking for a song, I came across this favorite. Love Life me.

There is nothing like music and the word of God to lift us. Lift us above the fray and for a few moments relax in warm, reassuring arms of God and His Son Jesus.

Psalm 33 tells us:

Our soul waits for the Lord;
    he is our help and shield.
21 Our heart is glad in him,
    because we trust in his holy name.
22 Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us,
    even as we hope in you.

Often we can feel beaten up by the cares of the world, but "the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases." Lamentations 3:22. One of the best things we can do for ourselves is to be patient and love ourselves. Take that time to spend with God, let Him feel your heart. Let His love lift you up and soak up all He offers you.

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear;1 John 4:18
