With an Outstretched Arm

For he wounds, but he also binds up;
    he injures, but his hands also heal. Job 5:18

This verse is taken from the Book Of Job. Job, despite his suffering, spends his time  in deep contemplation about God. He deliberates God's attributes, the character and the goodness of God. He is very honest as can be seen in the above verse.

Job implies that while we are wounded, God will take of our wounds and heal us.It is difficult to understand why bad things happen. Job is sitting trying to figure this out; but deep down he knows God will not leave him.

Job's trials were difficult and they lasted a long time; but he persevered. In the end his pain produced abundance.

This may not be the case for us; we may not reap abundance.  As Christians we will have trials but it is how we face these trials that will make a difference.  We are like Job trying to figure  if God "wounded" us by sending this pandemic on us. I have been told it's "end times;" or God is punishing us.

What I say is this, perhaps there is something we are to learn during these times. We, like Job, have had to learn how to live amid this virus. And we have learned how to persevere.

We have learned that "he injures, but his hands also heal." And with that I give God thanks. I give Jesus thanks for many blessings we daily enjoy. I know we are not walking this uncertain path alone.

Psalm 119 tells us,

"Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." Never for one minute think you are alone in this. God lights our paths.We walk through the valley of the pandemic knowing "Thou God are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."

Be comforted this day; knowing we may suffer but we will also be healed.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths." Prov. 3:5-6

Be Well! Be Blessed!

Enjoy: Thank you Lord
