We are pleased to welcome the first responders who work in our neighborhoods to keep us in safety. In Sunday's gospel, Jesus calls his disciples. And like the disciples, the responders receive a special calling. It takes having a heart for these positions to give of yourself each and every day.
Readings
Isaiah 49:1-7 - The Old Testament
Psalm 40:1-12
1 Corinthians 1:1-9 - The New Testament
John 1:29-42 - The Gospel
The liturgy, readings and hymns of the day can be found in the bulletin link below.
May God continue to bless our first responders and keep them in safety as they work throughout this day and the whole year through.

We are pleased to welcome all visitors to in person worship; especially the first responders joining us in person and online. Thank you for joining us! Welcome to those people watching online. Each Sunday there are a number of people who join us on the web and we want to acknowledge how grateful we are to have you worshiping with us. If this is your first time watching us virtually, Christ Church is located in the historic downtown area in Longwood. For more information visit - www.christchurchlongwood.com.
Or come visit us, we would love to welcome you in person.
On Tuesday January 17th, the City of Longwood is sponsoring a National Night Out from 5:30pm - 8pm at Candyland Sports Complex, 599 Longsdale Ave, Longwood. This is an excellent opportunity to meet with families and let them know about Christ Church. If you are available please let Mother Michelle know and meet at the park by 5pm. We will have candy and bracelets to give away. Bring a chair with you and dress to suit the cooler weather in the evenings.
Below is the list for this year's food drive for Longwood Elementary. The drive will run for the next six - eight weeks. This will allow for items to be purchased when on sale.
The Spaghetti Dinner for Jan 14th has been canceled as there is a chili cook off happening at the same time.
The Mustang RoundUp takes place on Saturday Feb 4 from 7:30am - 3pm. We have been given permission to sell a spaghetti lunch from 11am - 2pm. If you can help, please see Lee Crawford. Church Ave will be closed during the event. Please use the back entrance by the shed to enter the area. Cars will be displayed in the church parking lot and will not be accessible to anyone.
The God at Work Capital Campaign will continue as there is so much to be repaired on the buildings.
