What We Believe

We are a Christian community in the Anglican tradition, seeking to follow Jesus Christ with hearts rooted in Scripture, shaped by the Church’s worship, and drawn into God’s work of renewal in the world.

The Faith We Receive

We stand within the faith handed down through the centuries and affirm the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed as faithful summaries of the Church’s belief.

The Scriptures

We receive the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as the Spirit‑breathed story through which God reveals his saving purposes and shapes his people for faithful life in the world. In these writings, God speaks with authority—calling, forming, and correcting the Church—and draws us into the unfolding work of his new creation.

The Holy Trinity

We worship the one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—one in being and equal in glory, distinct in person yet undivided in majesty, the eternal communion of love who draws us into his own life and sends us into the world he created and loves.

Jesus Christ

We proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, the eternal Word made flesh, who lived among us and revealed the Father’s heart. In his self‑offering on the cross, he gave himself for the life of the world, reconciling us to God and opening the way into life.

In his resurrection, God began the renewal of all things, marking the dawn of new creation and revealing that his restoring work had already taken root in the world he loves. Jesus announced and embodied the kingdom of God, and he calls us to follow him as citizens of that kingdom even now, as we await his return to bring to completion the restoration God has promised.

The Sacraments

We cherish the Sacraments Christ gave—Baptism and Holy Eucharist—as signs of his grace and real means by which he feeds, forgives, and forms us. The Church’s other sacramental rites strengthen us for the life of faith. Among them, Holy Matrimony is a covenant of mutual joy and lifelong fidelity, ordained by God for the good of the couple and the flourishing of the human family, and given for a man and a woman to share in God’s gift of faithful love.

The Church

We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, the visible community God gathers and sanctifies, in whom the life of the Kingdom is made present. Through Word and Sacrament, God forms a people who share in the life of the risen Christ and bear witness to his new creation in the world.

The Anglican Way

Our life is held together by a threefold cord:

  • Scripture, our foundation

  • Tradition, the Church’s living memory and faithful witness

  • Reason, the God‑given wisdom that helps us receive and apply Scripture and Tradition with clarity and obedience

Together, they guide us in the way of Christ with humility, steadiness, and hope.
