God is always available for us. This morning you have gotten up to uncertainty, unforgiveness, stress, illness or simply feeling under the weather.
We can also come up with great fights within ourselves. We internalize the worst outcomes.
Or we can have the stress from wonderful outcomes; the birth of a new baby, going off to university, getting married, traveling, starting a new job. These happy events can trigger a whole new set of stressors.
I recommend the reading of Psalm 32. But I have chosen verse 7 to reflect on. It says;
You are a hiding place for me;
you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with glad cries of deliverance.
Only God can shelter us from ourselves and the hurts of the world. He is our help in times of trouble. For after all He created us in our mother's womb and knows every hair on our heads.
What is your prayer for today? What do you need him to take hold of, so you may find rest in his hiding place? As you stay in your hiding place, raise your hands in the air and give God thanks for all He is in your life.
We praise and magnify your Holy Name. You are King of Kings, Lord of Lords, you are the Lamb upon the throne.
Give your cares to Jesus, let Him hold them. Let Him show you the way out of all that troubles you. Let the joy of the Lord be your strength. Let the love of the Lord fill your heart. Pray for healing from all that is making you ill. May He give you hope and courage to face the days ahead.
See the beauty of God in the blue skies, the green grass, the people who pass you by. May you be surrounded with glad cries of deliverance.
