Well, the year is about to end! It is ending as it began; full of hope and fear of what the new year would bring. As 2022 approaches what are we to surmise? That we are in for more of the same? We are all weary of the uncertainty brought about by Covid 19 and its variants. As soon as we start to think, we are on a path to normalcy, another variant raises its ugly head.
However, always in the back of my mind is the fact that we serve a loving God who sees our suffering and pushes us to keep moving. The intricate workings of the earth have kept moving and it reminds me God is still on His throne. Proverbs 30:24-28 prompts us to remember this.
Four things on earth are small, yet they are exceedingly wise:
25 the ants are a people without strength,
yet they provide their food in the summer;
26 the badgers are a people without power,
yet they make their homes in the rocks;
27 the locusts have no king,
yet all of them march in rank;
28 the lizard can be grasped in the hand,
yet it is found in kings’ palaces.
Isn’t it amazing how God has orchestrated His earth? Let us be mindful of this as we step cautiously into 2022. Let us find our inner strength and step forward in faith. A faith grounded and rooted in our Lord Jesus Christ. For if God has provided for the smallest of creatures, He will provide for us.
He will provide strength to see the year through.
He will provide wisdom to see the truth
He will provide comfort in our time of need
He will provide love when we can’t cry anymore
He will provide His grace when we need it most
May this new year be all you want it to be.
A Happy, healthy and blessed New Year to all!
The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you;
the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.
