God, The Uncreated One

This title goes with a hymn that I just cannot get out of my head. It is a song written and sang by Aaron Keyes and Pete James. These gentlemen have put into song, words that move me into worship the God I love and serve.

God our fortress and our strength
The rock on which we can depend
Matchless in His majesty
His power and authority

Unshaken by the schemes of man
Never-changing, Great I Am
Kingdoms rise and kingdoms fall
He is faithful through it all
Crown Him King forever
Crown Him King forever
Crown Him King forevermore
Oh, forevermore

King David also had a way of expressing his profound love and appreciation to God; a God who saved his neck time and time again and David let God know that. Have you thanked God today for rescuing you from all that disturbs your being?

In Psalm 91 - a timeless psalm, King David put into words what we find difficult to express. "You who live in the shelter of the Most High, who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,

2 will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.”

He allowed us to see God who is before time and space. This God we worship is; Yahweh - “I am who I am.”  EL - Mighty One Elohim/Eloah - Unspeakable Powerful One El Elyon - God Most High El Shaddai - All Sufficient - God Almighty El Olam - The Everlasting God Yahweh Sabaoth - Lord of Hosts Adonai - My Lord Abba - Father

In Psalm 91 we have an opportunity to see the attributes of God. He is Jehovah Rapha - Healer Jehovah Jireh - Provider God reveals Himself through His activity in the world. Through creation and through the sending of His Son Jesus Christ to save us all.

Please read Psalm 91 in its entirety.

The Song, God the Uncreated One gives us a vivid picture of our awesome God who creates, who sent His Son and who raised His Son. Here is the link for God Uncreated One.
